ILSP provides support services for youth in the foster care program from ages 16-18 or until emancipated during their 19 year.
ILSP also provides services for foster care youth who have "aged out" of the Foster Care system. These are youth from the ages of 18-21 who have been emancipated. Services of the "aftercare program" include face to face counseling to assist the youth in becoming involved in a positive life plan. Examples of financial assistance include: Housing asssistance (1st month's rent, security and utility deposits); Transportation assistance (deposit on auto insurance); Education (scholarships, books and tools); Employment assistance (clothing, uniforms, and tool costs).
